MEET DR. DAVID KIM, MD

Dr. Kim is also known as "The Doc That Rocks."  He lives a dual life as a musician and doctor  He graduated from Rutgers University majoring in Biology and minoring in music.  He graduated Robert Wood Johnson and did his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehab at Thomas Jefferson University.  He was then selected for the only University approved Integrative Medicine Fellowship with Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona.  After studying with Dr. Chan Gunn, who has been awarded tha distinguished Order of Canada, the inventor of Intramuscular Stimulation/Trigger Point Needling, he pursued Pain Management without using medications.  He broadened his knowledge by studying a variety of subjects including the Egoscue Method, McKenzie therapy, Neuromuscular Stimulation, alternative stress management techniques, among other subjects.  He extended his medical reach by studying Aesthetic treatments including Botox and filler injections, RF modalities, and most significantly, RF microneedling / Morpheus8. He extensively studied with Empire Medical Training, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and master trainer Dr. Lanna. In addition, after training and going to multiple InMode conventions and trainings, he bought the first Define facial remodeling machine in the US, which makes Skinja Medspa the first fully outfitted total head to toe skin remodeling center Medspa in NJ. He also continues to practice Pain Management in the same location as Skinja Medspa which makes Skinja Medspa unique because Dr. Kim is always on the premises.   In addition to his medical practice, his other passion is music.  He started out as a drummer, then progressed to various brass instruments until he found his love of the guitar.  In high school, he built a guitar from scratch which he still plays today.  He minored in music in college and continued to play during his medical training and beyond.  He has played professionally with well known bands and organizations in the southern NJ area and is well known in the "local scene."  He is an avid collector of vintage guitars and amps, and is also well known in that arena.  He incorporates his love of music in the Skinja Medspa business.  Making Skinja Medspa even more unique, because it is the only Medspa that has "The Doc That Rocks!"

MEET BERNADETTE KIM

Bernadette Kim is a woman of many unique skills and talents.  She originally sought a career as a professional baker, but instead chose to be with her real "sweets", her two daughters and grandchildren.  She was a top level competitive cheerleading coach whose team consistently won their division.  Life was great until she suffered a life threatening car accident. She needed total facial reconstruction because her jaw was shattered.  In addition to a brain injury, she developed strokes, seizures, brain fog, total body pain and painful ulcers in her mouth, esophagus and stomach.  It took seven painful years with numerous hospitalizations, tests and doctor visits, for her to get diagnosed with the rare Bechet's disease which caused her to have all these symptoms.  The road to recovery was slow and painful, but she found the strength and resolve to reinvent herself to start in the aesthetic business.  She is now the co-owner and director of the Skinja Medspa and singlehandedly developed proprietary methods of anesthesia used in Morpheus8 treatments to make this treatment nearly painless.  She also developed unique protocols on the EvolveX machine that no other Medspa uses to more efficiently burn fat, tighten skin and tone muscle to help clients get the body they always wanted but could never achieve with diet and exercise alone.  Because of Bernadette's skills and knowledge, Skinja Medspa is the only Medspa offering the unique methods of delivering Morpheus8 and EvolveX.
